1. Some basic information about you. Who are you?

My name is Daniela Ramirez, I'm 24 years old. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. I moved to the United States – Miami - when I was 17 to go to college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and marketing in 2010 and I'm continuing my studies in Fashion Merchandising. I have been blogging for 3 years now and sharing my outfits for too.

Random things:

- I'm left-handed;

- I love sushi and cereal;

- I have the cutest little Maltese called Chiki;

- I did gymnastics and ballet for about 8 years.

2. Do you like Miami? If yes, please, tell me why? What do you love about living in Miami?

Yes, I absolutely love Miami! I love the warm weather, the Latin American culture, its people, the beautiful beaches, and the food, all!

3. How many pairs of shoes do you have?

Not sure, around 30 pair of shoes - counting flip flops and sneakers… and my closet is FULL! However, I donate everything that I don't use!

4. Describe your style and its influences/inspiration.

My style is simple but not boring, and very feminine. I get inspiration everywhere: from magazines, celebrities, models, runways, fashion blogs.

5. How did you first get interested in fashion and why is it important?

I've always loved fashion but it wasn't until my last year in college that I realized I wanted to work in the industry - that's when I started blogging. It's important because "fashion" is the first thing people notice about you, your clothes should represent your personality.

6. Favorite designers and places to shop?

I love finding affordable clothes - my favorite stores are Forever 21, Zara, Aldo, and local thrift stores.

7. Describe your favorite thing in the wardrobe.

My favorite thing is a Chanel 2.55 bag. I saved a lot to get - it's timeless and I know I will wear it forever.

8. What do you like the most or who?

I like spending time with my family, going to the beach, and watching a good movie.

9. If you can create your dream country, what would it be?

My dream country would have: Paris streets and architecture, Caribbean beaches, San Francisco Weather, and sushi restaurants in every corner. I could eat sushi every day! My favorite is definitely spicy tuna! And I felt in love with Paris!

 

10. How do you describe Miami fashion style? Romantic or maybe rock'n'roll? Do you like how people dress in Miami?

Miami's fashion style is "the less clothes the better". It gets so hot that people don't try to dress cute or fashionable, they just wear shorts and t-shirts.

11. What is your TOP - 5 places to visit? And in which city do you want to live in the future?

My Top - 5 favorite places are:

1. Los Roques, Venezuela;

2. Canaima, Venezuela;

3. Istanbul, Turkey;

4. San Francisco, California;

5. Paris, France.

5 Places I WANT to visit:

Egypt, Thailand, Spain, Argentina, and Japan.

I would love to live in Paris one day – but I need to learn French first!

12. In the year 2018 you will be... What will be in the future?

I will be working for a major Hispanic fashion magazine in Miami.

13. The first thing you look at in another person’s outfit is...

Bags or shoes!

 14. Do you have your own life or fashion rules? If yes, which?

Just wear/do what makes you happy!

You can't please everyone, you can only please yourself.

15. Next place you want to travel to is...

I've always wanted to go to Egypt.

16. What is your favorite color? What is your favorite color in the clothes?

My favorite color is Purple. In clothes: not sure...I wear a lot of colors - except yellow, it looks terrible on me.

17. What is the most underrated item in menswear and womenswear?

Hats: hats are fun and they make a statement! There are so many types of hats and they can bring out your personality.

18. What is your favorite item of clothes?

I love bags! I have an obsession with bags!

19. If you had a chance to have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be?

Any celebrity? WOW that's hard! Alive or death? Alive: Ryan Gosling. Dead: Audrey Hepburn.

20. Describe yourself with 3 words.

I'm honest, good-friend, independent.

21. Tell me your history of success. You have a lot of followers! This is not a joke.)What did you do to attract readers to your blog?

Aww thanks! I feel like I still have a long way to go! But I think that my readers are attracted to my blog because I'm real. I'm like a friend, I wear affordable clothes, and they can relate to me.

23. What would you say to someone seeking fashion advice?

Forget about the rules, forget about what people say... have fun with fashion and clothes. Don't be afraid to express your personality.

24. What films do you like the most?

Romantic comedies and suspense movies.

25. Name 10 strange, funny and interesting facts about yourself!

1. I eat cereal with hot milk.

2. Since I was little; every time I go to a new place, I have to see the bathroom.

3. I sneeze every time I go out to the sun - my dad does the same thing, I guess it's in the family.

4. I say I can "hear" electronic vibes; I know when a something is connected to a plug.

5. I was super sporty when I was little: I did gymnastics, ballet, and swimming for more than 10 years.

6. I believe in crazy Hispanic superstitions - like you shouldn't give shoes or pearls to someone, or that you should never take things from the sea. 

7. Since I was little, I absolutely love ghost stories - the after - life fascinates me.

8. I have two older brothers, they are 10 and 11 years OLDER than me!

26. Tell me the funniest story that happened with you!

In terms of the blog; the other day I was at the mall. I was inside of a store and my boyfriend, who has been featured a couple of times in the blog, came in laughing like crazy saying that somebody said to him "you are nany's klozet boyfriend!!". It was so funny!

27. You said: ‘Just do what makes you happy’. What makes you happy?

What makes me happy.... the simplest things - even a single comment of my readers makes my days!

27. Why your blog named ‘Nany’s Klozet’?

My name is Daniela but most people call me Dany. The only person that called me Nany before the blog was my mom. I decided to go with Nany because I wanted it to feel close to my readers. And Klozet: I was looking for a word that represented the fashion part of the blog, and I wanted a word that was as easy to pronounce in Spanish and in English.
